Situated amidst the MacRitchie forest, the HSBC TreeTop Walk (free-standing suspension bridge) is a first of its kind in Singapore and enables us to have a rare bird's eye view of the forest canopy level.

It is the highlight of several long hiking routes in MacRitchie that brings you through different stages of mature secondary forest.

Please note that the walkway only allows for one-direction traffic. The entrance to the bridge is from Ranger Station via Peirce track. The walkway is narrow and the number of people that can be on the walkway at the same time is limited to 30 persons.

Perched on this vantage point, one can also enjoy the panoramic view of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

The HSBC TreeTop Walk at the Central Catchment Nature Reserve is one of the many initiatives supported by Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in Singapore. A natural refuge to a rich diversity of flora and fauna, the Central Catchment Nature Reserve is also home to our precious source of drinking water.

Standing 25m above the ground, the HSBC TreeTop Walk provides the spectacular opportunity for all to get closer to our natural heritage. The free-standing suspension bridge connects the two highest points – Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang in MacRitchie. The total length of the walkway is about 250m.

The construction of this S$1.6m bridge started in August 2002 and took about 2 years to complete. The four phases of construction were piling and slope stabilisation, building of the towers, launching of the suspension cables and construction of the decking. The HSBC TreeTop Walk was officially launched by the Minister of State for Finance and Transport, Mrs. Lim Hwee Hua, on 5th November 2004.

There is no Tour here.
