| The Red Dot Design Museum exhibits a large and most unusual collection of contemporary design. Over 1,200 square meters of floorspace provide a showcase for over 250 products and conceptual design from across the globe, all of them, winners of the prestigious red dot design awards, a quality seal for design excellence. This venue is also a great place to hold company functions/events.
The museum sponsors MAAD, the Market of Artists And Designers. On the first weekend of each month, designers and artists transform the museum into a bustling weekend market of original creative works in the field of fashion, art, craft and design. www.maad.sg

Red Dot Design award was set up in 1955 in Germany to give recognition for quality designs. A museum was set up only in Germany to showcase award-winning products.
The red dot award is one of the largest and most prestigious design prizes in the world. The second Red Dot Design Museum was established in Singapore in November 2005.
The conservation building, in which Red Dot Museum is housed, was built in 1928 as a police barrack. The building was designed by a Public Works Department (PWD) Architect named F. Dorringtion Ward.
Tour Around the Area - After visiting the museum, you may want to visit the following: - Singapore City Gallery; Ann Siang Hill Park; or Chinatown Heritage Centre.
