| Growell Herb Sanctuary has a collection of more than 250 species of herbs. Combining education, recreational, research and retail activities, we aim to provide a wholesome experience with herbs.
Growell Herb Sanctuary was setup in 1990's by Mr. Martin Cheng.
Before 1990 - Started Herb plants collection.
1991 - Tested planting herbs with commercial hydroponic systems.
1993 - Build self replenish hydroponic systems with recycled materials.
1994 - Herb plants collection increased to more than 100 species.
1997 - Started Herb and Spice farm in Kukup, Johore Malaysia.
2000 - Move to Taman Utama in Pekan Nanas. Started farm visit programs and received first group of 200 visitors from Kowloon Club Singapore.
2002 - Moved to Kangkar Pulai, Johore. Held our first Herb Exhibition in July 2002, the first of its kind in Johore Malaysia. The exhibition was extended for additional two weeks due to popular demand.
2003 - Joint venture with Sentosa Leisure Management Pte Ltd to operate the Herb and Spice Garden @ Sentosa. Converting the existing Herb Garden into an Organics Herb Garden and increased the collection of plant species from 30 to more than 250.
2007 - Growell Herb Sanctuary move to Green Valley - The first Certified Organic Farm in Singapore.
