With a long history of Chinese existence throughout the last few thousand years, many interesting and fascinating marriage rituals and practices were introducted into the Chinese community. Among all these rituals and customs, San Shu Liu Li (三书六礼) was widely recognized as the traditional and formal model to follow from ancient times even to modern days.

Heritage Wedding Gallery is the first private museum in Singapore to exclusively document the various stages of a Chinese wedding. The 1,600 sq ft museum is supported by the National Heritage Board under its Heritage Industry Incentive Programme. This museum open to the public beginning 1 May 2010.
